    LASIK Eye Surgery Kuwait

Femto-LASIK is an exciting innovation in the world of laser eye surgery! Unlike traditional LASIK, Femto-LASIK is completely bladeless, and instead uses a laser to cut through and shape a patient’s cornea. At the Beverly Hills Medical Center of Kuwait, our ophthalmologists are experts in performing this state-of-the-art procedure. To learn more about LASIK eye surgery in Kuwait, please call us today at +(965)-222-89999!

    LASIK Eye Surgery Kuwait

Femto-LASIK is similar to traditional LASIK is many ways, but differs in one important fact: it’s entirely bladeless. Like LASIK eye surgery, Femto-LASIK is used to correct a variety of ocular conditions (such as farsightedness, nearsightedness, and astigmatism), but instead of using a blade to create a corneal flap, a femtosecond lasermicrokeratome laser is used instead.

The benefits of a bladeless system are numerous, both for patients and for doctors. During a Femto-LASIK procedure, the corneal flap can be created faster than one made from a blade incision. Generally, the Femto-LASIK laser can create a corneal flap in as little as six seconds! Another advantage of Femto-LASIK is how each procedure is personally tailored to each individual patient, ensuring the best and most accurate results.

Once a corneal flap has been created, the remainder of the procedure is identical to LASIK. Once the underlying layer of the cornea has been exposed, an excimer laser reshapes the cornea. Depending on the type of condition a patient suffers from, this laser may flatten the cornea (used on nearsighted patients) or steepen the corneas (for patients who are farsighted). The procedure can also be used on patients suffering from astigmatism.

Once the procedure has been completed, patients are free to return home, though it’s recommended that someone else do the driving. Patients are encouraged to use eye drops in the days following the procedure and can expect to see results within a few days!
