Prof. Stephen Foster, MD (Ophthalmology)
Dr. Foster received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry at Duke University, and received his Doctor of Medicine Degree at Duke University Medical Center. He completed his fellowship training in Cornea and External diseases, and in Ocular Immunology, in 1977. Dr. Foster was then invited to join the full-time faculty of the Department of Ophthalmology of Harvard Medical School, where he was a member of the Cornea Service and Director of the Residency Training Program at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. He began his independent research in 1977, and has been continuously funded by grants from the National Institutes of Health ever since.
After 30 years on the full time faculty of Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, he established his own private practice – The Massachusetts Eye Research and Surgery Institution, a state of the art 12,000 square foot practice with its own chemotherapy infusion suite and phlebotomy lab. Dr. Foster continues to direct a research laboratory at the Massachusetts Eye Research and Surgery Institution (MERSI), through the support of his newly created research foundation, the Ocular Immunology and Uveitis Foundation, and continues his teaching activities and training fellows as a Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Foster has authored over 600 published papers, five textbooks, and been selected as one of the Best Doctors in America by American Health Magazine. He has also been selected as one of Americas Top Doctors on several occasions, as well as one of Americas Top Ophthalmologists by the Consumer Research Council of America.
Prof. Jorge Alió, MD (Ophthalmology)
Dr. Jorge L. Alió is the founder and medical director of the Instituto Oftalmologico de Alicante, Spain (now VISSUM Corp.), and founder of the Fundacion Jorrege Alio for the Prevention of Blindness.
Dr. Alió is globally recognized as a leading authority in the field of refractive surgery, and has authored or edited a total of 61 books. He has written 200 chapters and over 500 articles in peer review journals, and has collaborated on over 200 scientific articles in various media. In addition to his scholarly writings, Dr. Alió holds 36 patents and original designs.
Since 1997, Dr. Alió has been a professor and chairman of ophthalmology at Miguel Hernandez University in Alicante, Spain. Previously, he held clinical and teaching posts at other Spanish medical institutions including Alicante University, the University General Hospital of Salamanca, and Miguel Servet Hospital of Zaragoza.
Honored by both national and international organizations, Dr. Alió has received over 30 awards for clinical and research work. In addition, he has participated in hundreds of conferences and scientific meetings. Dr. Alió earned his medical degree and his doctorate in ophthalmology from the Complutense University in Madrid, Spain.
Prof. Kenneth Wright, MD (Ophthalmology)
Dr. Kenneth Wright is an internationally respected ophthalmologist and educator, highly regarded for his caring approach and devotion to the welfare of children and the health of their eyes.
Dr. Wright received his medical degree from Boston University and completed preeminent fellowships in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus at Johns-Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, and Children’s Hospital, Washington, DC. After the fellowship, Dr. Wright joined the full-time faculty at USC School of Medicine and Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, serving for 10 years before accepting the position of Director of Pediatric Ophthalmology at The Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, where he developed a renowned program in pediatric ophthalmology. After his tenure at the Cleveland Clinic, he returned to Los Angeles and set up his private practice. Dr. Wright is a staff member at the department of Ophthalmology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, and a Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Southern California – Keck School of Medicine.
Dr. Wright has been included in “The Best Doctors in America” and “Who’s Who in Medicine and Health Care”. He has authored over 100 scientific papers and eight textbooks on ophthalmology and eye surgery, including the 1,000-page world-renowned textbook, “Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus”. Dr. Wright also authors the American Academy of Pediatrics text “Pediatric Ophthalmology for Primary Care”, which is one of the AAP’s bestselling books, and has become the gold-standard on pediatric eye care for pediatricians nationwide. The American Academy of Pediatrics also sells Dr. Wright’s pediatric eye chart that uses the Wright Figures to test vision in pre-literate children.
Joely Kaufman, MD (Dermatology)
Dr. Kaufman, a highly regarded and experienced dermatologist, graduated from the University of Miami – Miller School of Medicine, where she also trained as a dermatologist at the prestigious Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery. She is Board Certified in Dermatology, and an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Kaufman has vast experience with lasers to treat aging skin, as well as many other cosmetic procedures. She has been involved with numerous research studies for new devices in the cosmetic industry, and is the author of a monthly column for Dermatology Times on lasers and their uses in the dermatologic field. She is currently the Vice-President of the Miami Society for Dermatology, and a Board Member of the Florida Society for Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery
Prof. Babak Azizzadeh, MD, FACS (Facial Plastics)
Dr. Babak Azizzadeh, Chairman and Director of the Center for Advanced Facial Plastic Surgery in Beverly Hills, California, is a double-board certified leading international expert in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. His expertise in cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery has made him one of the most sought-after physicians in the industry.
After graduating from the UCLA School of Medicine with highest honors, Dr. Azizzadeh completed a prestigious six-year residency program in Head and Neck Surgery/Facial Plastic Surgery at UCLA Center for Health Sciences. He then completed a sub-specialized fellowship in Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at Harvard Medical School, which was offered to only one surgeon.
Dr. Azizzadeh is currently the principle investigator of a stem cell/facial nerve regeneration project at Cedars-Sinai’s Regenerative Medical Institute, and Co-Director of the Multispecialty Aesthetic Clinical Research Organization (MACRO), where he has ongoing clinical trials in facial rejuvenation and rhinoplasty.

Prof. Babak Larian, MD, FACS (Head & Neck)
Dr. Babak Larian, the Chairman and Director of the CENTER for Advanced Head & Neck Surgery in Los Angeles, California, is a highly experienced and reputable board-certified surgeon, specializing in head and neck surgery. He is internationally renowned for his expertise in minimally invasive surgery techniques, and attracts patients from all parts of the world.
Dr. Larian graduated from UC Irvine School of Medicine with academic and humanitarian distinction. In 2002, after completing a six year residency program in Otolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery at the world famous UCLA Medical Center, he began his successful professional career.
Today, Dr. Larian is the chairman and director of the CENTER for Advanced Head & Neck Surgery in Beverly Hills, California, a state-of-the-art practice with an impeccable reputation. Dr. Firouz received his undergraduate education at UCLA. After graduating with Honors, Dr. Firouz focused on his medical education at the prestigious George Washington University. After graduating from George Washington University, Dr. Firouz returned to Los Angeles to complete a five-year general surgery residency at The University of Southern California. The valuable experience at USC provided Dr. Firouz with extensive training in all aspects of general surgery, including surgical critical care, burn reconstruction, and shock trauma. His excellence at USC earned him an election into the prestigious Medical Honor Society, Alpha Omega Alpha, and a nomination as the Chief Resident in General Surgery. s as a priority, Dr. Firouz utilizes his surgical training to provide effective and safe plastic and cosmetic surgical procedures to his patients.
Ultimately, Dr. Firouz received his Board Certification in General Surgery.With extensive training and knowledge in all types of general surgical procedures, Dr. Firouz decided to blend his artistic talents with surgical precision and become a plastic surgeon.At this time, Dr. Firouz reached the pinnacle of his career as he was accepted into the acclaimed Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery program at the Cleveland Clinic. The Cleveland Clinic provided Dr. Firouz with extensive experience in complex cosmetic procedures of the face and body. Wendy W. Lee, M.D. (Oculoplastic Surgery)
Wendy W. Lee, M.D., M.S., specializes in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery with a special interest in aesthetic medicine. Dr. Lee earned her medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara and a Master of Science degree in physiology from Georgetown University. She completed both her residency and internship at Tulane University, and a fellowship in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.
Dr. Lee treats a broad spectrum of oculoplastic disorders, including eyelid cancers, trauma, tearing disorders, eyelid malpositions, orbital tumors, and infection and inflammation of the lids and orbit. In addition, as director of the Bascom Palmer Aesthetic Center, Dr. Lee provides a full range of cosmetic services, including blepharoptosis surgery; blepharoplasty of the upper and lower lids; brow and forehead lifts; and non-surgical cosmetic enhancements including botulinum toxin treatments, dermal fillers, and photorejuvenation. She also performs laser skin resurfacing to rejuvenate the face, neck, hands and eyelids, all performed at the institute’s aesthetic center.
Dr. Lee dedicates time to the teaching of residents, fellows, medical students and community physicians. She is co-director of UM Cosmetic Medicine, a multidisciplinary cosmetic group involving the departments of ophthalmology, dermatology, ENT and plastic surgery. Together with her colleagues she organizes multispecialty trainings in cosmetic injectables, topical treatments and lasers.
