    Dental Implant Placement and Restorations

A dental implant is an artificial tooth root that is placed in the jaw to hold a replacement bridge or tooth.  They are permanent structures and are often times the best solution to replace full or partial dentures.  Since they are not dentures, this eliminates all care that is typically associated with dentures such as: messy gels, soaking and bad oral odors. When performed by a skilled cosmetic dentist, implants should both look and feel extremely natural.  Most patients forget that there is an implant even there in the mouth.

Spaces in the oral cavity can lead to periodontal disease and in severe cases can affect the way that a person can eat or speak.  Because of this, it is incredibly important to fill any gaps to prevent the teeth from shifting or cause any additional damage to the mouth. With modern technology, dental implants can both look and feel completely natural and most patients forget which teeth are actual dental implants.

Implants can range from a single tooth restoration to overdentures and fixed bridges.  These implants are fused to the bone in your jaw and offer stability and comfort, while allowing the patient to feel secure that these structures will not move.  The patient will not have to deal with any of the messy processes associated with dentures, and a successful candidate for implants must have healthy gums and bones in order to support the implants.  Depending on your individual needs, our cosmetic dentists at the Beverly Hills Medical Center – Kuwait, can help you achieve the smile that works for you.

    Benefits of Dental Implants

Dental implants are typically more comfortable, secure and convenient than traditional dentures.

A few of the other benefits of dental implants include:

    • The ability to replace one or more teeth without affecting the bordering teeth
    • They provide the support necessary for a more secure and comfortable denture
    • The ability to support a bridge and eliminate the need for a removable partial denture

Using our cutting-edge technology, the cosmetic dentists at the Beverly Hills Medical Center – Kuwait also offer dental implant placements.  This method works by immediately placing the implant into the extraction site, and drastically lowers healing time.

Depending on your individual needs, whether you need a single tooth restoration, overdentures or fixed bridge- we may be able to help.  Please contact our office today to schedule an initial consultation-  give us a call at +(965)-222-89999.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is there an age limitation on dental implants?

A: No, there is not an age limitation for dental implants.  Any adult over the age of 18 can have a dental implant, as long as there is enough bone in order to place the implant.

Q: How often will I need check-ups once I have dental implants?

A: Typically, we suggest check-ups and cleanings for dental implants every three to six months.  Also, it is important to maintain proper oral hygiene with daily brushing and flossing. The success of your dental implants will greatly depend on how well the individual treats his/her mouth.

Q: How painful is dental implant surgery?

A: Dental implant surgery is not painful at all.  Usually a local anesthetic is used, and depending on the patient’s needs, other sedation methods can be used. Also, post-surgery oral medications can be given for any discomfort.

Q: How long will I have to stay home from work after dental implant surgery?

A: Unless extenuating circumstances occur, a patient should be able to return to work the next day.  The board-certified dentists at the Beverly Hills Medical Center – Kuwait will discuss all necessary care with the patient after surgery.
